Anarchy is what this has become, illegal immigration. The criminal eliment is at it's breaking point across the nation. The DUI rate in some states is 3 to 1 (with deaths).

The criminal element of illegal immigration needs to be addressed in all towns across this nation. Our mayors words of “federal issue” did not impress me.

Our local law is not to notify ICE unless a Felony has been committed, not a misdemeaner. Illegals can roll through our system dozens of times.

There should be zero tolerance on any crime committed in our community no matter who commits it (legal or illegal). Apparantly illegals have the advantage.

We have the right to enforce Federal law. All states, towns, cities and counties have not only the right to do so but the responsibility to do so as well.

btw, I was sitting in the court room a month or so back and witnessed them letting an illegal walk out on grand theaft auto charges (felony). Apparantly the DA's office was one day late with her filing.

Has anyone ever asked our current and future mayor what is views are on immigration? I wonder if others are just waiting for someone to bring up the subject.

Go the Moffat County website. There they have a video to watch to show us how to use the new voting machines here in the county, they are electric.

The kicker, you have a choice of english or spanish. I don't understand this. With legal immigration they are required to learn and speak english. If they are illegal they can not vote. What on earth is going on?

We're going to loose the America we know if we don't start enforcing simmilation. When the babyboomers die there will no longer be a republican party and this nation will be just like France.

    Immigration Update

Yesterday, 6/10/08, President Bush signed an Executive Order. All gov. employers & contractors must now verify all their employees legal status to work in this country by using that Verify System that the ACLU has been resisting in court. Not much on the MSM.

I heard something about California and their illegal problem yesterday on the news. I didn't catch it all, but illegals are costing them millions just in education. It's about time they did something. I am so sick of these sanctuary cities. Wake up people. We can't afford these people, and it's only going to get worse.

Missouri Governor Signs Tough New Immigration Law
On July 6th, Missouri Governor Matt Blunt signed into law legislation designed to crack down on illegal immigration. State lawmakers passed the bill on the final day of their annual session under a threat from Blunt that he would call a special session if no bills were passed. (Associated Press, July 7, 2008) The bill passed by wide majorities, with only legislators from the metropolitan areas of Kansas City and St. Louis voting against the bill. (Id.)

I wonder what Mexico would do if 20 million of us moved down there, refused to learn the language, demanded services, refused to pay taxes, refused to be documented, refused to get insurance, and wanted special treatment. It isn't hard to get in. You just walk across the border.

Grannyrett, You can see that article on the same site as the one above:: It starts out like this….
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom announced last week that the city is revising its sanctuary city policy to more fully comply with federal immigration law. This announcement came just days after a San Francisco Chronicle article revealed juvenile probation officers were using taxpayer funds to fly minors convicted of dealing cocaine back to their native Honduras, rather than reporting them to immigration authorities. (San Francisco Chronicle, June 29, 2008) The controversial city-paid flights are a result of a loophole in the city's sanctuary policy, which requires law enforcement officials to report adult felons to federal immigration officials, but does not require them to report juvenile offenders. (San Francisco Administrative Code, Chapter 12H.1-2)

that is always been something that burns my butt! Why have we let these people come here and demand things that we could not begin to have in their country……….because we're too nice, too stupid to control it or what? I don't know, but I think there should be a major crack down and either they change their ways or they are shipped home. And let the darn Boarder Patrol do their jobs! I'm not saying they aren't doing their jobs, but let them do it instead of getting after them for trying to keep people out who are doing it on the sly.

6000 murders on the border not being reported on and theres NOT a border war already? 72 kidnaped american citizens being held for ransom in mexico, mexican police being brought into el paso texas for treatment because mexican doctors won't treat them after shootouts because they fear for their own families.

That is why we are such supporters of the Minutemen. There are not enough border agents to patrol the border. That is why it is important for citizens to help. When tunnels are dug and come up inside buildings on this side of the border, it is hard to find them. Drugs and girls to be used for prostitution are smuggled in all the time. Landlords who don't pay attention to their rentals should be prosecuted. Forty people in a house is kind of a give away that something is wrong. Arizona passed very strict laws about employing illegals. Thank goodness that Arizona has Sheriff Joe. Boy, the mayor of Phoenix hates him, but, guess what ethnicity the mayor is.
