Sue and David Harless celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, June 8, 2012. They moved from Craig to South Carolina in 2007, and will spend a week on Fripp Island near Beaufort, S.C., to celebrate. Sue and David were married in Eunice, W.V., at the Eunice Baptist Church on June 8, 1962, by Rex Sandifer. David was in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He worked for 3M Company in Ohio at the time of their marriage, but wanted to work for Armco Steel in Montcoal, W.V. He got a job there as a mine electrician/mechanic. He worked for various mines in Wyoming and Colorado before retiring from Peabody Energy in Hayden at the age of 59. Sue has worked as a bookkeeper for the past 40 years. She worked for various companies in the Craig area, including Colowyo and the Craig Chamber of Commerce. Sue now works part-time as secretary/treasurer for a church in South Carolina. Children include Melissa, of Colorado, and Mark and Minde, both of South Carolina. Grandchildren include Emma Hope and Jacob Cole, also of South Carolina.
