Pete and JoAnne Levkulich, longtime Craig residents, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 6. Pete Levkulich married JoAnne Robinette in the First Christian Church, which is now known as the Center of Craig on Yampa Avenue. Reverend Morris officiated. Both were graduates of Moffat County High School. Pete was raised on a ranch in Breeze Basin outside of Craig and JoAnne grew up in the area of Steamboat, Skull Creek and Craig. Pete had come home from World War II in 1945, later buying a 1947 Dodge dump truck and was hauling coal from the Streeter Mine south of town when he met JoAnne. JoAnne was working for C& H Distributing. Pete later went to work for Watson Motor Company selling Ford products, becoming manager for Mildred Watson for the next 20 years. JoAnne became a loving mother of two children, Judy and Rocky, both graduating from Moffat County High School. Pete and JoAnne retired in Grand Junction, where they reside today. They celebrated their anniversary with family.
